This architecturally unusual brick house with strong Gothic Revival elements is one of the few structures in Resaca that remains from the time of the Battle of Resace when it served as a hospital. The house is also visible in the distance in a period photograph taken by George N. Barnard after the battle. The Duncan Norton House is currently undergoing extensive rehabilitation. Although it is not open to the public, the home is in a quiet residential neighborhood with little automobile traffic and can be easily viewed from the street.
